Now back on the Gold Coast after being away for 29 years. Eugene Baston along with his team of Landscapers and outdoor decorators are here to stay. Eugene started out as a gardener at Seaworld Marine Park back in 1984, as test of his teenage gardening energy/skills he was given the job of digging the holes for the Coconut Palms that were trucked down from North Qld. Those holes were over a metre deep and more than a metre in diameter after spending a week digging those holes, he officially was welcomed into the Seaworld gardening team – and so it was that he began his career in gardening. That was 37 years ago, in the meantime Eugene has been up and down the east cost of Oz across to Africa and then spent the last 18 years gardening in Central Europe specifically Vienna, Austria.
NaturalScapes takes particular interest in sourcing natural materials - sandstone pavers, organic soils and native plants are just some of the materials we employ in our landscape themes. We are looking forward to hearing from You.

We love working with stone, whether it’s a Bluestone wall or a Sandstone pathway, I believe these natural materials add colour, character and a sense of permanence to any garden. Paving work whether it be a driveway, pathway or patio is definitely a mainstay of our landscaping work.
Depending on your needs and budget we have a variety of methods when it comes to installing pavers. However typically we employ the age-old method of 100ml of road base and 30ml of bedding sand and installing the Paver on top – pavers range in thickness from 35 – 50ml. Some paving requires that we literally cement down the paver – this of course is a very permanent structure.
We install a variety of paving products from concrete to sandstone from small pavers to 600s.

Landscaping can include many aspects of gardening whether it be a rock, timber, or concrete retaining wall. Literal landscaping where we change the whole garden theme raising, levelling or lowering a garden. The installation of new turf, planting of trees or including special garden features such as a pond or pool are just some of the services we provide.
+ garden makeovers
A front yard and or back yard makeover is what we really enjoy. This is not only the transformation of the garden itself but as makeover implies it can include for example a new deck, painting of a fence, actually whatever is needed to make your house and garden the place you proudly call your own.
Again, it is all about sharing your vision and for specialized outdoor makeovers we bring in my wife a trained interior decorator who is equally adept in the outdoor setting. Together we can draw up a plan and turn it into reality in the shortest possible time period and according to budget.
